The installer error problem

When I install Setup Factory8, I encountered a trouble
The installer was unable to complete the installation.
The wrong circumstances such as the attached pic.

This may be the result of a corrupted install or multiple installs running at the same time. Try downloading the Setup Factory 8.0 install again and see if that solves the problem.

You may want to remove the C:\Program Files\Setup Factory 8.0\ folder before installing again.

Setup factory 7 installer running very well and there is no similar problems

That's a very strange problem that you are experiencing.

If possible please post the size of the Setup Factory 8.0 installer that you have downloaded and the log file that the installation creates.

The log file should be located in:

%WindowsFolder%\Setup Factory 8.0 Trial Setup Log.txt

For the trial version and:

%WindowsFolder%\Setup Factory 8.0 Setup Log.txt

For the full version.

Hopefully that information will help us get to the bottom of this issue.

I encountered this trouble too. My OS is windowsXP simplyfied chinese SP3 and win2003 simplyfied chinese SP1.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the information. Could both of you please send us your uninstall xml file? According to your log files the file is located in:

C:\Program Files\Setup Factory 8.0\Uninstall\uninstall.xml

There seems to be an internal error loading this file and hopefully once we look at it we will be able to figure out what the issue is.

Thanks for all of your responses and help after a few false starts and tests we have been able to find and solve this problem.

We should have a release of Setup Factory out soon that will address this and the other problems that have been reported since the initial release.
