Bug: Buildlog save not handling variables
I don't know if this is supposed to work.
I have a variable Version (Build Settings->Variables) that I use in project settings-> Version and in output folder and working folder. The version number in project settings works alright and the WiX binaries and bootstrapper use the variable correctly. The problem is the build log save that does not seem to lookup the variable. Error msg: "Failed to open log file for writing: C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\MSI Factory\Output\Product\$(var.Version)\setup 2008-07-24 12-04-02.txt" Regards Martin Virdung (currently evaluating) |

Ah, that's a bug. I'll log it to be fixed in the next service release. REF: 17615
Thanks for reporting it!
