I was wondering if True Update can send an AUTOMATIC SYSTEM TRAY notification AND an AUTOMATIC EMAIL message anytime I update my files on a server.

This way I can PUSH updates to my users without them having to press an update button. Basically I would like to setup an update application very much like Symantec Antivirus software (or Kaspersky and Microsoft Winfows for that matter) which is PROACTIVE.

Can I do this with True update or would I need an additional application to achieve this.

Apologies if the answer to this question appears in any of your brochures or datasheets....

TrueUpdate can be launched "silently"; but you'd need something to schedule it.

I suppose there could be a way to have "it" launch itself every hour or something using command line parameters....

as far as pushing an update -- symantec, nor any "updates" are pushed, they're all pulled.
