3 places to put FTP login info
Question
I see that there are three places to add FTP login info: - Project -> TrueUpdate Servers - Server Script - Publish -> Settings -> Upload How do these differ from each other? Answer Project -> TrueUpdate Servers: This will be used by the client.exe to find the server files (.ts1, .ts2, .ts3). The server file (.ts1) will then be downloaded according to these settings. Server Script: The FTP settings in the Server script will be used when an update is available to download the patch/install file. Publish -> Settings -> Upload: This is a design time only setting. This is used to automatically upload your files to the web server when you publish a new update. These settings will never be accessible by the end user. |
