Remove legacy file BUG??

Patcher seems to remove file if case changes.


Example:
Historically a file has been named:
OT_MV.rdf

But new build its named

ot_mv.rdf

it [02/12/2008 17:10:00] Success Remove legacy file: \\QAXPPROUPGRADE\ReDoc\ReDoc Suite 741\ReDoc Suite\Production\Reports\OT_MV.rdf

I have both the patch and build logs if someone cares to see they are to large to attached to the post.

I have logged this one and I believe it will be fixed in a future service release. Sorry but I don't have a timeframe for this this though.

Jason, what version of Visual Patch did you test this in?

3.0.1.0 I do see 3.0.2.0 is out but I dont like to upgrade my tools right before a release of my software.

Well the legacy files issue was fixed in the most recent version so you really might want to try it.

• Fix: Fixed a bug where the end user would sometimes see an extra error message after they cancelled the patch.
• Fix: Fixed a bug where files that were in-use during a patch would cause the patch to hang once it was complete.
• Fix: Added additional details for some log error messages.

In general it's a good idea to try something in the latest version before reporting a bug.
