Mismatched encryption key
Hello,
I was trying to set up a second update for a new release. After uploading the files this error occurs. "An error occurred when trying to read the server file. (Mismatched encryption key?)". I know what the errors means but i didnt change the encryption key. Now i am a little stuck how to solve this. sure i can create a new update client but that doesnt solve the problem with the version i have on the server now. I looked into the autosave files to restore to the point it wasnt changed but there was nothing saved for this project. Is there anyway to solve this problem without letting the end user replace the old update files with the new ones? Because then it wouldnt be very usefull using an update client. |

Hi Ham,
Have you tried rebuilding your Update and letting TrueUpdate publish the new files to your server? What happens when you do so? What did you change in your project file when you were working on it? Hopefully your answers will help us understand the issue you are facing.
