Not a valid Win32 Application...

I downloaded the free version of AMS, and created my CD just fine. Tonight I loaded the licensed version I received. And now, the CD won't autorun from my drive, won't run from my start/run menu, and says its not a valid Win32 App.
Any suggestions?

Help, still! I burned it to another CD. I started over, and built a new menu. And, I deleted the menu and built it again, and still not running. Same message.

I don't get it (but I need it - am on a deadline).

Hi,
Are you making sure that you are burning using the standard ISO9660 burning format? Are you using long filenames? Remember that the ISO9660 CD-ROM format does not support long filenames and since it is the most widely accepted standard for CD-ROMs, you should follow the 8.3 naming convention. Although there are formats that do support long filenames such as the Joliet standard, your CD may not be readable on some older drives and systems. This may be causing the “Not a valid WIN32 application” error.
Try switching to the ISO9660 burning standard and see if that fixes the problem.

Sorry, but I'm doing all that already. Burning from the same CD burner I did with the demo, correct naming (8.3) conventions, correct ISO format, and when I pop in the CD I created with the *demo* version, it runs on my pc.

More ideas? (thanks for all so far)

Hi,
Did you make sure that you uninstalled the demo version before you installed the commercial version? If you did not uninstall the Demo version, I would suggest that you uninstall the DEMO version and then re-install the commercial version. Have you restarted you system? Also have you tried you CD on another system? This may be a system specific error.
Can you run the executable from your hard drive before you burn? The reason that I ask this is because if you can run it from your hard drive, but not after you have burnt, then the problem must lie in the burning process.

Ah! That did it; I uninstalled/reinstalled, and now it's running.

Hi,
I'm not really sure what is going one here, simply installing the registered version should not effect the old Autorun.exe. My first guess would be that the Autorun.exe file has simply become corrupted. I would suggest that you try re-burning the Autorun.exe onto a new CD and see if that alleviates the problem. Or try creating the Menu using the registered version and see if that works. I'm pretty sure that this error is specific to that one file.
