Lightbulb Template Suggestions

Hi,
I’ve got a couple of quick questions for everyone.
With AutoPlay 3.0 we are planning on making some really nice, and useful, templates available. This being so we would like some input from the people who use our software.
Here we go:
What sort of options do you find yourself using the most often?
What would you like us to include in the template in order to make them the most useful for you?
Any and all responses are appreciated.

mark.

Re: Template Suggestions

Hi,

no answers yet? Here is the first. I´ d like to have a template that is like a webpage. That means on the left something like a index and in the center the menu for options.

Is there any downloads available for some templates yet? I could not find them.
Please give me a hint.

Thanks.

Re: Template Suggestions

-I would love to have a video temple - with play, stop, pause, rewind etc buttons. Web page template are cool, but there are so many differing design out there - how do you choose?
-An MP3 player design
-A design with a pseudo IF/THEN (I am pretty sure there is a work around in AMS3 to this)

Cool Re: Template Suggestions

Hello.

I would like to suggest:
1. A template that would demonstrate some of the advanced features of AMS. Like: use of custom verbs, read or modify ini files, etc. And use of, under actions, "execute" options.(This would surely help us novices use the software in a more productive manner.)
2. I agree with David: video screens with controls.
3. Examples of splash screens and their use, including music.
4. A short series of templates using one design (like, for example, something from DigitalJuice) for beginning, middle and ending pages that carry a theme across pages. Sort of "theme" pages.
5. Also useful, would be templates that are designed for special purposes, i.e., training and education, product demonstration, music catalog, slide shows, etc.

Thanks for the question. I look forward to the results. http://www.indigorose.com/ubb/images/icons/cool.gif M.

Cool Re: Template Suggestions

Templates that would help me build "toolbars" would be cool.
Even simple templates containing "back" & "forward" buttons would be great. The previous post about making templates have the look and feel of a web page also makes sense.
Thanks for the help...

Re: Template Suggestions

I agree that a template using the most advanced features possible would be instructive. Features like writing to and reading from INI files and the registry, user info features (getting user data). Some of these are still a mystery to me, a rank tyro, admittedly, so I guess that's why I'm asking.

Thanks!

Re: Template Suggestions

I would like to see examples of the more involved AMS features. Also it would be nice to include some nice backgrounds for the templates.

Grin Re: Template Suggestions

Mark,
Where does this stand at the moment? Templates and backgrounds would be very nice. I for one would be willing to pay for a useful CD packed with templates and high quality backgrounds.

Re: Template Suggestions

We are working on some really cool stuff right now, but are currently snagged on some details.

I can't give a time frame, but it should not be too much longer. Sorry for being so vague.

Re: Template Suggestions

What about instead of necessarly user templates, but a place to post user createds menus? A single zip file with all the files needed and included the AM3 file for reverse engineering would be nice. That way you could see a complete working menu, and make modifications to it, or get ideas from it. All royalty free, or property of AMS as they see fit to distribute. Don't mena to put anyone down, but no one can do everything in a menu, sometimes it helps to see one doing what you want it to do, and then see exactly how it's done by reverse enigineering
