We need more details to help you.
Is your mask a 2 bit bmp? How did you define your project? kiosk mode? custom mask? how large is the mask? so large that ALL the window shows? Yossi |

I cant get the custom image mask to work either.
I created a cutom image mask in png24 (like the onces in the gallery) The gallery once works fine. But when I use the one I created I only get the grey background of my workspace. I created a new project of the template vcard and took the bg image and created a mask from that just to test it. but no luck. |

Try it now

Yes, 2 bit image is what you need to use for masks. Yossi |

hhmm... what do you use to edit the image? I made the image in photoshop and created a cutson color table only containing white and black. I then used ImageReady to save the file as png24 I'm now having problems again. no matter what I do I cant get my mask to work... I dont remember it being this dificult in ams5... Use IMAGE > THRESHOLD in Photoshop to get a true black and white version of whatever you're working on with a little bit of control over how the edges pixelate...

Hee. We say the same thing here in Canada except we add "eh?" to the end, i.e. "Can't see the forest for the trees, eh?"

I use PSP. "Image" >> "Decrease Color Depth" >> "2 Colors (1 bit)"....saved and re-uploaded your project.

The advantage of PS's IMAGE > THRESHOLD is that, much like a JJ Johnson solo, it's a slider based affair, so you have some flexibility over which way the pixels go...

True, Corey, but have to have Photoshop and learn how to (basically) use it..
Why not work with iview? There you can also do batch convert. Yossi |

Irfanview is a superb program, I've been using it *lots* every single day for years now...

I find myself associating more and more formats with xnview. irfanview renders high-quality resizes faster (or it appears to because it hides one of the steps), but xnview has more logical options and settings. Not to mention better default icons.
