Scenario for Enterprise customers
I just downloaded latest version of the TU2 beta.
My company has 2 kinds of customers: - "home" users - enterprise users For home users everything is straignhtforward. But what I, as a setup developer, want is to let my Enterprise customer's IT guy to get notified about my product update, get it, test it and let his users install it. This sounds like a 3-tier structure that I need. I am just wandering if this scenario is possible under TU2. I contacted InstallShield about their LiveUpdate and it can do that, but price is outrageous. Thanks, Nikola |

I think it could be done because of TU20's flexible architechture. There are a lot of way to do this. Would you be designing the update to work this way on a customer-by-customer basis or would you just want it to generally be capable of this? How would you know which user was which?
If you can come up with a more detailed specification I will try to give some more specific architechture suggestions. |
