Hello. Searched and couldn't find, or didn't use the correct search terms, for mounting a completed AMS project built on DVD-ROM to a server. Basically, one of my projects is being purchased for uploading to a secure server for users to access.
What are the complications for this? First, can it be done? ...using the page structure, including buttons, videos, etc? Is it just a matter of uploading the folder structure? How do I convert the .exe file? Possible? Thanks for any help. M.

So you want your project to appear for example when you go to www.blahblahblah.com?
No, that will not work, you will have to clone your existing project into a web accessible application. The only solution I can think of is a terminal service ... i.e. RDP etc. It does depend on if it is a client - user application or just for internal use. You should be able to run the exe on the server, no problem though... |

I think I'd make an application to 'pull' and install to the local hard drive if I were doing it.

Longedge,
Thanks. What would be the process? copy folders to directory? add .exe? Or would I have to convert the exe to a....say...webpage with links? I'm just not sure where to start? Thanks again, Michael |

Problem i see here your going have alot of download and access times to the program but if you want a image you can do http bla bla see if the image is on server if is download it meaning it aways have your version of this image same with buttons and txt the exe its self would have to be downloaded prier to the reqest to send the reqest lol.
the the exe is not on the web its self. i would also include a error image, txt and default buttin incase the server is offline for any reason. and do a check if the image is the same local then the server no download just run app. Something like that i would say. |
