    dependencies & Acrobat 7

I had a client load an application today on a brand new PC. The dependencies dialog poped up stating Acrobat was not installed.
Acrobat reader 7 was installed on the system and the project dependencies were set to Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0+. Could this be a problem with the 5.0.2.0 patch or is it Acrobat 7?

Nothing was done to the Acrobat dependency check in the latest release, so it may be that Acrobat 7 has changed the way it registers with the system. You could try debugging it by moving the detection code out to a screen and then using debugging methods to find out where it fails.

Thanks Brett, I'll have to find a system that has only Acrobat Reader 7 and give that a try.

Brett, I finally found a system that had only Acroread 7 on it. It appears that Acrobat Reader 7 is registered in a new way such that if dependencies are set for Acrobat 4+ in a project and Acrobat 7 is on the system the dependency window appears.
Can someone at IR look into this?

        Thanks,
        Lee

          I have the problem too...

I am running into the same thing. Customers are saying they have version 7 but my program with a pdf won't run...

I don't mind showing up for work. It's them expecting me to stay for 8 hours that's causing the problem...

                Ditto here.

                No problems to report.
