Just wondering... is there any way to have a SWF movie playing in the background in your project and overlay button, links, hotspots, etc. in AMS? I think probably not, just wondered if any of you AMS gurus had a workaround. It seems to me this would be a lot easier for us Flash newbies than setting up scripts, etc. in Flash. Thanks!

No there is no way to do that right now. The only solution would be to integrate the other elements into the flash file itself and then handle the FSCommands that get fired.

This is something that we will consider for a future release.

I recommend in the interim that you seriously investigate the SPEEDY TRAINING (http://www.speedytraining.com) CDs that are created by I.R. (Authored by: Corey).

The third CD-ROM goes through some very useful Flash examples (love video training!) of how to use the FSCommand between Flash and AMS.

It's much easier than one might think, especially with Corey going step-by-step through each example.

Okay, thanks very much for your replies. I'll look into the CDs. If this is part of a future release, however, it'll be like a dream come true for me. If you could use your button maker buttons, complete with transparency, glows, etc. and use them over a motion background that'd be great!

A thought along these lines:
As Gif is already supported, when animGif will be supported, won't we be able to put objects above it, like we can with images? And if so, Here is one way to have a motion background (although only with 256 colors).

And on the same topic. AMS supports png. what about mng? (motion png), if such a format would be included, we could use that for motions AND have transparancy and full color.
I know that format is not 100% official...yet, but..it is just a thought.
