    Error 99 Line 8

    Help! I've taken over the True Update and Visual Patch programs with no training from the previous developer. I've had a few phone calls with the following error:

    Error #99, Line 8

    The people were trying to update their program, it starts to download the patch, then quits and gives this error. They mentioned it saying something about not being connected to the internet, but they assured me they are. Actually, they would have to be in order for the program to check version numbers.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Have you been able to replicate the issue on your end?
    What happens if the user runs the update again? Does it work?

    I am not sure off hand.

      Hi Adam,
      No, I haven't been able to replicate it. I've tried on a number of Windows OSs to no avail. When they try again, the same thing happens.
