Hi all,
Did any of you know that Windows Media Player will play a quasi-slideshow? Not real elegant, but it can be done. And it can also play swf (Flash) files. Didn't know that either until today.
Here's a sample project utilizing the WMP plugin (must have - it's free!). The 'wpl' file is a basic playlist and the 'asx' file is a more advanced playlist (more customization). Anyway, if anyone knows more tricks to this, I'd be glad to hear them. I'm guessing that you must have at least WMP 9 on your system to preview this. If not, let me know the lowest version that will play it. It won't play Flash files local for some reason (security issues), but the Internet is fair game. Just a few more options for AMS'ers.
What made me mess with this is, my daughter sent me a MSN slideshow that obviously uses WMP embed and it's pretty slick. Has anyone seen this? Anyway, if we could emulate that, it would make for a nice feature to expand AMS even more. But, this is a start. All comments welcome....
