I would really like to see some source code/project (.fla, CSS, etc. etc.) on how professionally put together sites like NASA's (http://www.nasa.gov/topics/highlights/index.html) are done!

Anyone have any sitting around? Or, can anyone point me into the right direction for a site that offers some complete examples, from start to finish? I need all the help I can get with regards to Flash MX!

Thank you for those that take mercy on me! :p

Let me add... the main goal for this thread is for learning how (what objects.. like tables, etc.) the web page is laid out! Then the Action Scripting code would come in as a close second!

Sincerely,

Intrigued, maybe start a thread in the Dev section and I'm sure that myself and others can contribute to that. I think it it would be better in that section, don't you? So we don't horde the Chit-Chats - and others will know that it could be a benefit to AMS as well, Dev-wise. And ask away and I'm sure I can attach some samples.

And let ME add that your first goal is right on, but you should learn the "timeline" and [basics] first before ActionScripting :)

Ron, good point on the location of my post, I agree.

I am looking forward to the Flash MX 2004 book that's on the way!

It would be nice to see a lot of Flash MX 2004 gurus come out of the wood work all of a sudden! ;) Yesterday I took a closer look at web sites like flashkit.com... there seems to be a lot of folks in the know, I'll have to signup and start chatting to see if there are any AMS 5 users there.

By the way, Ron, are you fluent with Flash MX by any chance?

Corey, if it's not a big bother, can you move this thread to the Developers section?

Thank you in advance,

Lorne

Good Ron! I know who to pest...er.. ah... ask for help, yes, help when I need it! ;)

Actually, I am looking forward, with ferver, to learning the Action Script 2.0 language! I tried a few snippets out from Flashkit.com yesterday. I then signed up and hope to take part actively in that forum as well. There is some very competent Flash'ers, as you probable already know, in that there forum!

Corey has motivated me through his show of examples and recommendations to get started back on this road to Flashtown! Thanks Corey!

Lorne, thanks!
