I have the build of the installer hang on me a few times. Cancel would not cancel, finally I had to end task, Stupid me did not save before I started the build, My archive files are on a network share and I think that had to do with the build hanging.
Does SF7 create an auto save before each build? Anyone else see this happen to them?
Looks like its hanging on compressing a 28meg file.

SUF7 will only create an auto-save based upon the time limit you have entered under preferences.
Compressing a 28MB file should not be a problem - I successfully compressed a Novell Service Pack of 78MB during beta.
If cancel did not work, then the application had hung for some reason - as you say may have to do with the network share particularly if over a slow LAN.

Jason,
I will make sure that we get that feature in the software.
As to your issue, I don't know why the software would "hang" during the build process, unless it is related to the anti-virus issue (http://www.indigorose.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8899). We've built gigantic projects during our testing with huge files. Building with files over a network share will of course be slower than with local files, but we do it all the time here.
Let me know if it's the anti-virus software issue or whatever else you find. We'll make sure it gets building for you!
