View Full Version : Problem accessing RealAudio files...

I have created an AutoPlay project with buttons that link to various .htmls.

However, when I link to an .html menu that accesses various RealAudio files and press one of the RealAudio options, I get the error message: "Cannot open the audio device. Another application may be using it."

I don't have this problem when I use another autorun program...

It seems AutoPlay commandeers all of the audio resources thus leaving none for RealAudio to do its job. Is there a way of "turning off" AutoPlay's total domination of the audio device when I access an .html? Or, what am I doing wrong?? :rolleyes

Thanks.

Unless there's something else going on in the background, that's a shortcoming with RealPlayer, not AutoPlay Media Studio. Notice that if you open other audio apps like Windows Media Player or Winamp with an AutoPlay project going there's no problem, ergo no "domination" of audio resources... RealPlayer is notoriously anomal. :yes

Just for the record I just tested and Real Player seems to work fine on my system when I have an AutoPlay Media Studio project with audio running. Although the volume on the Real Player affects my entire system, not just the player. Which soundcard are you using, and what are the general specs of your system? Seems like Real Player should launch OK with an AMS project going. Are you sure you didn't have something else running in the background, or an open process from an app which didn't close right?

If you can post your file, that would be the ultimate. Then I could test it. :yes
