    Error Message

    I have been using AutoPlay for about 6 months with no problems.
    But all of a sudden after I build a Project and go to use it I keep getting the message..
    "The specified file was not found"

    But, the program runs just fine when you run the Preview..

    Does anybody have any clues whats going on

    Just read the article below... same problems... so I will burn a Cd and see what happens

      Hey.... It works just fine off the CD.

      Must be a bug in the program?

        It may have something to do with using %SrcDrv% instead of %SrcDir%. Let's assume that you have your final build in a couple of sub-directories deep on your hard drive and you've used %SrcDrv% as your location for a particular file you've linked. Your preview will work, assuming you have your virtual CD-ROM folder properly assigned, but your final build, running from the hard-drive won't because the file is looking in the root of the drive the files are on. So, instead of looking in the sub-directory, it's trying to find them in the root. Now, when you burn to CD, then of course the files are actually in the root so it works fine.

        My suggestion for all users is to use %SrcDir% if you plan on running your build from a local or network drive. This will give you maximum flexibility for moving the final build files around without having to go in a re-create them with the proper locations.

          Note: I'm pretty sure he meant "use %SrcDir%" above. You're almost always better off using %SrcDir%. (In fact, it will be the default in AMS 4.)

              On the topic of %SrcDir%, I exclusively use that when I'm making a menu for this very reason. Is there a way that I can force AMS to always put %SrcDir% in my execute programs links, instead of %SrcDrv%? Thanks in advance.
