I'm looking at these different softwares and am interested in your opionions?
Any feedback will be appreciated.

Well, the two products don't really compete with one another. Encore is for DVD authoring. Autoplay Media Studio is for CD-ROM authoring. Those are two completely different mediums.

As a matter of fact, I've been known to recommend both.

Seriously, only buy Encore if you are serious about doing DVD spec authoring. Stuff for DVD players. The kind that attach to your television.

I'm using AMS for Cd-roms and store my video as VCD with a nice menu.
so both worlds can enjoy it, both computers and DVD player that's supprts VCD.
