I have created an autorun with 2 pages, some graphics and a small flash movie with Media Studio 5.
On testing I've noticed that the install cd takes upto 60 secs just to start to autorun on end user machines. (p2s and even longer on p1s)
Is anyone else having this problem - autoruns made with v5 take way too long to autorun on older machines.

Are you using 5.0.0.4?
randg,
Do other autorun enabled CD-ROMs take long to load on these older machines? Some of the older OS versions (Win 98, WinNT4) may take some time to recognize a CD that has the autorun feature enabled. If this is the case then there is nothing that can be done as it is a limitation of the Operating system.
Also please confirm that you are running version 5.0.0.4 as this is the current version of the software.

Thanks for the reply.
I tried a variety of autorun progs, the fastest & simplest being autoruninf from moon valley, which autoran & launched my setup program in 9 secs on a P-II machine running Win98SE. On the same machine my significantly more sophisticated autorun created with Media Pro 5.0.0.3 took 45 secs.
I shall upgrade to the latest version but would appreciate any help in bringing down autorun times.

If you're talking about time to "recognize" the CD, then yes this is a result of the OS.
If you're talking about the time to "start" once the CD has been recognized, v5.0.0.4 is considerably faster than previous versions. You won't notice the difference in the trial version (due to piracy issues), but the commercial version has both a smaller and faster runtime engine and starts up almost instantly.
