trying to be as explicit as possible in my title...

got a very basic project published - all worked fine in Proj preview...

published to a folder on my C: drive like tutorial said.

Then burned the folder contents to a CD-R per Roxio CD/DVD Easy Creator 6.
brought all the folders into the space to record and did so.

took the VCD to my sec'y's computer and put it into her CD-R drive.
nothing..... nada......

had to open windows explorer and click on the autorun icon.

OK, then had a couple of error msgs on Acrobat reader on the first file to click but OK the next....{?} My powerpoint presentations wouldnt open at all, not even to give me an error msg. they had all worked OK in Preview.

And someone had an earlier reply stating to create a installation menu to open the VCD up.
***thought that's what this program did automatically?
If i do need to do that, i have NO clue where to create a install menu, much less have it get onto the VCD somehow.

so...

(1) autorun failure upon VCD loading into a computer ....note: Secy has old computer...could all this just be from very slow loading times on her computer???? I counted 45 secs and still no autorun to start....

(2) VCD doesnt recognize path/whatever for Powerpoint pres [all that got put into the folder like the indezine.com article stated - worked in Preview]

(3) possible conflict with the Reader 5.0 i have in a folder with my .pdf files....

again, thanks. i will be OOT till next Monday - got 2 funerals and my deceased cousin's estate sale to deal with until then. Boss will just have to deal with this as is I guess!.....

but please -- anyone with some suggestions, please post 'em!

Donna have a look at your previous thread..

MTN

BTW if autorun has been disabled on the users system,
the CD should\would not automatically fireup...

addition ...80 min(700) meg Cdr media may not run on
a variety of ,very roughly speaking, pre 97-96 cdrom drives.
..many of this vintage could not read CDRW either..

VCD format may have somethin' to do with things aswell
on old machines..not real sure on this though.

sticking to CDR 640meg(74min) if ya can get 'em can often
sort this 'read\access' compatibility out with 'old machines
...specially on win95-98\me and pre Win2000.

Ya never know..
