I have produced a patient education video touting our product and I thought a cool way of disseminating it out to customers was to put it on one of those usb "thumb drives". The ones that could be put on a key chain. My question is, is there a way to have the video autostart when the usb drive is connected or will I need to instruct the recipient to go to My Computer? It will be in either an mpeg 1,Flash or wmv format. Any help would be appreciated.

If you google usb autorun you will find a lot of different sites. Here is a link to a thread on these forums discussing the information too.

From what I understand (and have witnessed with my Cruzer drive) is that the Plug&Play action will work with Windows ME and newer O.S. by default only.

So with Windows 95, 98(1st ED.), 98(2nd. ED.) you will need to install a 'driver' before the thumb drive will even be seen by the computer!
