...that I bought a Samsung SyncMaster 192N (19" (flat) LCD) monitor!

In this case.. bigger is,was better!

Someone in one of the threads in this forum, I believe, said that they really liked this monitor. So, I took a virtual stroll through some reviews, price checks and found such (and with a rebate to boot).

Who ever it was that recommended this monitor, thank you!

That was Eric but I agree with him, that's next on my priority list, a real must do for my eyes. Glad to hear it's such a great monitor, I can hardly wait. Soon, very soon...

Yes, I have the Samsung 191Ts in twin configuration on my Dual 1.0 G4. I've never used a monitor that even came close. Of course, it's the first 19" LCD flat panel I ever worked on before, so that could explain some of it. But these are fine, and command the respect of all freelancers and colleagues who have sat down in front of them.

Well, today I did some "box" moding (I changed the look of my main tower here and worked on air flow) and then went shopping. While waiting for food.. we stopped in to a location. I had no intention of buying anything. We were suppose to be just browsing until our take-out food was done. Kicker is, I never shopped at that store before! Go figure...

Instead of using two monitors I use a KVM switch and cables. I find this less costly and it saves on desktop space. If that does not do the trick I just crack open the new laptop and access the wireless network. Wireless... now that too was a good choice for my needs.

Next, I would like to get a wireless webcam. First for a project, then it will be for outdoor use (to monitor front door and surrounding area). Any suggestions as to a model or product line to look in to? Thank you.

Actually, both 191Ts go together for one computer - a Macintosh Dual 1.0 G4. They run off the same ATI 8500 dual head card in the AGP bus.

I know what you mean about major impulse buys like that. Somehow I seem to grow a wild hair, and just when I'm feeling least likely to go out and buy anything at all, that's when I acquire the real whoppers. There's something about the duality of man in that... Or maybe I'm just an idiot.

I don't personally own a wireless webcam, though I do have a couple of wired versions. I have heard good things about the Linksys camera:
