I'm not sure this is a runtime error, but perhaps someone could verify. It's coming up under Windows Server 2003 when a setup is run.

Hi,
I'm sure there can be a large number of configurations for Windows Server 2003, however I have tested an install with various built-in variables and installing and registering files, creating shortcuts etc. but didn't have any problems with build 6.0.1.3.
So I have a few questions for you in order to narrow down what is happening and attempt to replicate the problem:
1) When running the install, are you logged in with adminitrative permissions?
2) Does this error occur during the install, or when you launch the application you are installing? If it is while running your application, the problem is likely associated with not distributing all of the neccessary dependency files or something along those lines.
3) If you haven't already, creating a log file with your install is often a very useful debugging tool.
4) Where exactly does the error appear?
5) Briefly what is the content of your install?
Hope these answers determine the cause of the problem.

Thanks for the feedback, we now own Microsoft's MSDN package, so we can thoroughly test this problem under server 2003, which may not actually be a setup factory issue. The setup factory install is actually run from a small visual basic program which sends parameters to the sf installer. The VB program is protected with Securom security (www.securom.com), preventing someone from copying the CD and running the installer.
