I have designed a cd with autoplay media and it is about 500 mb and i would like to give the user the choice to install the cd or run it off the cd if their computer can run it .. i need a way to copy the cd onto their hd without making another file... is their anyway setup factory can do that with out making its own file with everything in it?

Sure, just put the files in Setup Factory's CD-ROM tab instead of the Archive tab. Then it will install the files right from the CD instead of putting them in an archive. Read the SUF60 help for more details about the CD-ROM tab.

The CD-ROM tab is used for the situation where you need to install files, however still need access to them externally (not compressing them in an archive). When the install is launched, the files will simply be referenced from a particular location that you have defined. You can define the location the install will look for each particular file at runtime by setting the "Runtime source" field in each file's properties on the CD-ROM tab of Setup Factory.

Are you receiving any error messages? Perhaps you could explain further how far you have gotten and what particular problems you are having. Have you added all of the files that will exist on your CD-ROM that you want installed to the CD-ROM tab of your Setup Factory project?
