Hey just thought I'd throw this tid-bit out here. For those of you who are like me and can’t match a color If your life depended on it, there is a stand alone program called ColorImpact. Check it out, the best $45.00 bucks you'll ever spend!

Or in Photoshop CS you can go to IMAGE > ADJUSTMENTS > MATCH COLOR, which also seems to work pretty good. I just posted a tutorial about that at StyleWorkshop actually, it's number 15 right here http://www.styleworkshop.com/site/tutorial.php

Hey Corey,

Sweeet compilation site of vid tutorials, thanks!

I'd gladly pay cold-hard-cash to access the same kind of site populated with AMS 5 scripting how-tos and power-user tutorials. Maybe that type of site would even be a hit with the ever expanding IR dev community on a monthly fee subscription-based model? As an R&D prototyping kind-a-guy, I'm always looking for the most efficient ways to skin-a-cat, without losing hours or days in the learning curve. You guys do a really great job with documentation, how tos and especially the video tutorials, keep 'em coming!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm still not completely happy with the quality of my work but I'm starting to get some traction. It's all a quotient of time, i.e. all the stuff on that tutorial page was entirely conceived, produced, and published in 3-4 work days. That makes it hard to dote on any one thing for long since there's just the one of me. :) As you probably realize, working with 10-12 different software platforms like that in a 3-4 day span is its own kettle of fish to be savored or not.

The subscription area of Speedy Training.com will be added once there's enough stuff to interest people and justify a monthly fee. I'll keep working at it here and hopefully it won't be long. In the meantime all the training stuff there will be on CD-ROM but we will make sure it's all fairly priced. We will also be adding videos of Brett dancing, but those will be extremely expensive.

I am very glad to hear that you are enjoying the resources though, it makes it much easier to keep up the pace knowing that you guys see value in it. :)

Great set of video tutorials, Corey.
I like the way you play around in various apps, using the features of each one.
Great job!!

Those are nicely presented and easy to consume online videos.

Super job!

Also, thank you. It's nice to see how a professional does his/her magic. (grin).

It's great to be able to glean all the little shortcuts different pros take when they demonstrate how they use various software. Personally, I get something out of each tutorial I watch if it's done by a pro - there were more than a few tips in each short tutorial. Great job, Corey.

Personal requests - Deeper AMS 5 stuff and similarly deep Flash stuff. Thanks for sharing some free tips. It's invaluable.

Well, that's me in demo mode actually. In reality I rarely ever select anything from a menu, the shortcut keys for most apps are long since burned directly into my cortex for safe keeping. But a fast succession of shortcut keys is no good to anyone in a video tute. Also in real life I work a bit faster than that often, depends though. I tend to work extremely fast at first on a project, bringing out a flurry of ideas, then I slow down to super slo-motion as I test all the ideas then, once I have a clear design defined in my mind, I return to hyperspeed and get it done. Strange I know but it works OK, you can actually get a fair bit done this way.

Anyhow my point being that the demos are more an example of "Demo Corey" than "Work Corey". Surely you didn't think I would leak my evil plans this early in the comic book.

Anyhow I will make sure to get some Flash stuff out ASAP too, that's one I've been meaning to do since version 4.0 release believe it or not. :) My problem is that I squander too much time sleeping and eating. The top Yogis live off one tiny cup of yogurt per day and 4 hours sleep, I'll have to get that action happening... With 20 hours of usable time per day I could finally get something done maybe. :)

Here's an idea if what this can do...

Oh, I see, it generates palettes. Cool. I had plans to create a commercial application once which would do something similar to this but slightly better but phloot, never did it. I pitched it once to IR as an add-on for AMS, i.e. Intelli-design, you pick an image and then the intelligent assistant generates an entire folder full of compatible template content, plus color matching, plus other stuff. Basically building my personal design decisions into a smart suite, blah, blah, blah... Time limits make it impossible. Good idea though, that's the basic concept behind this thing, it's making intelligent design choices in assembling a color palette for you based upon pixel data it analyzes. Hoopy.

Something free on the Web that is simular is the Color Wizard here:

The information on combining colors can be informational as well.
