Does anyone have an AMS project they can upload here to demonstrate the use of a full featured mp3 player with playlists? Any posts would be beneficial!!!!!! I just want to implement an mp3 player that can create and read text file based playlists. I have read the FAQ but wonder if anyone has something i can look at?

Although there are workarounds as of version 5.0 we added ogg vorbis support instead of MP3. It offers superior quality and doesn't have the same patent issues attached. Ogg Vorbis is compatible with pretty much all current systems via the default MP3 player, i.e. winamp, etc...

As I stated there are workarounds. Download the free Media Player plug-in (search the forum) and use that to play MP3s if you like.
As for a refund as far as I know that is not do-able, that's why the trial version exists. Although you are welcome to contact our sales dept. anytime for further info in that regard.

No, I'm sorry I don't. Media player plug-in works just like the old one, you use a load action then a play action, etc... Shouldn't be too hard to implement probably...
All my stuff is now Ogg based to avoid any patent hassles, i.e. we can't put out an MP3 player template or example for you unless Thomson says so and they aren't being very cool about things nowadays. MP3 format is an unsavory can of worms. Out of our hands really, there's plenty about this issue at Google et al...
Sorry GNET I would help here if I could but it's just not possible. I'll be glad to answer any questions which may arise in the course of you designing your own MP3 player though. Anytime...
