i just wanted to say nice one to the developers of AMS, playing with the demo at the moment and extremely impressed at what it can do

I already have an idea for projects i'm wanting to do so i may have some questions in the near future :)

1 question i do have is.......

is it possible to create (or include) some sort of online chat system between users of the app you create, a scenario might be that you distribute your app commercially (i am right in thinking its royalty free i hope....if i read correctly :) ) and you only want to allow the community who use your app to chat to each other without the hassle of any web users finding your chat system and causing trouble (as many immature web users seem to do these days when they are bored :) )

hope that made sense, i have AMS code in my brain at the moment thinking about all the possibilities the software offers :D

hopefully i'll get enough cash together soon to get the full pro version and start releasing some projects :)

Yes it's possible, easiest is probably to look into the Flash chat component and embed it into an AMS application...

cheers for the reply Corey :)

i was thinking of flash communication server prior to my initial post becase i have experience with that but i would prefer to go away from using flash if possible so any other possibilities

EDIT: i'm guessing you cant embed another application into ams and if so i'll probably just write an online asp, cgi or php chat system and use the web object using input fields in ams to send the text

The bottom line is you will need to program a chat client then, which technology you choose to do that is up to you but you will probably find that AMS works better as a host to an existing client than to build a comm server from scratch. That being said, you have the web object, internet actions, and scripting engine at your disposal, so it's definitely do-able. Keep in mind this would be a fairly advanced project. So although it's certainly do-able it might take you a few minutes to figure out the various aspects of it as you go along. Best of luck...
