I've got a small problem with playing flash movies. I have created a flash movie using Camtasia which is a screen capture application to create software tutorials.
It plays without any problems in Internet Explorer but when I play it in Autoplay MS 5, I notice screen distortions like black lines when things move.
Any ideas how to get rid of these?

Hi. What does it look like when you play it in the standalone Flash Player, i.e. no browser, no AMS?

OK, probably a stupid question but where to find this stand alone flash player? As far as I know, there's only a browser plugin?

Well if you click on a .swf file it will usually just pop open in the standalone player. Where that player resides depends on whether you have Flash MX or not. If you do have Flash MX then look in the "Players" folder in your Flash MX folder...

Try clicking on one of the .swf files in your AMS gallery, that should open in your standalone player for you... If not then it's possible some other program co-opted your .swf extension association...

Sorry no standalone player available (I don't have Flash MX)
Checked the macromedia site but only browser plugins there...

But still not in AMS as a Flash object? That sounds odd since it's the very same active X control. Try starting a new empty project then dragging your flash onto the stage and previewing. Should work. If not then please post a screencap of the error and we'll try to fix it...

If you're not familiar with screencaps check this out http://www.autorun.org/articles/Saving_Error_Messages.php

The flash movie itself is 700x500 pixels, the dimension of the flash object must be 1 pixel bigger (701x501) Then it's OK. If the flash object has the same dimensions as the flash movie itself then some minimal resizing is done which produces the effect

Note the "Scaling Mode" options in the Flash Object's Properties Dialog... You can set it to stretch to fit if need be or you can set it for exact fit, as far as I know in exact fit mode no rescaling will occur...
