Hi!

When trying to open a application, the setup returned this error: "The procedure entry point SetHandleContext could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"

The module is: "irsetup.exe"

I´m running Windows 2000 PRO

I emptied my temp folder located in WINNT, rebooted the system and tryed the installation again. But the same message turns upp.

Please can somebody help me.

Hi,

My guess is that this error message is being generated by your application rather than the setup. From your description it sounds like you are launching the application from Setup Factory after installing it, is this true?

What happens if you don't launch the application from the install, but instead after it has finished. Do you receive the same message?

I did find the following KB article on the Microsoft site:

Click Here (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/Q142/6/06.asp&NoWebContent=1)

Are you sure you are installing all of the neccessary dependency files for your application?

I´m trying to open a .exe (sertcombat_0.6f_patch) program: Setup Factory 6.0 Setup Launcher, by klicking on the application. The message I receive is a stop messeage (red), this prevents me from going on.

This stop messeage only turns up, when trying to open a setup factory application.

What build of Setup Factory is this install created with? You can find that information under Help->About Setup Factory.

Just to clear, are you the creator of this installation?

If so, what happens when you create a blank install (no files) and try to launch it on your system?

Do you mean the produkt version of Setup Factory? It is 6.0.1.2

No, I´m not the creator of this application.

How do I create a blank install (no files)?

Just to make things clear: I´m not using any Setup Factory program, when trying to open this patch, I´m trying to open it from Windows.
