Exporting Software

I'm gearing up to release my first plugin and came across a thread on another board that grabbed my attention. In the licensing, I'm using encryption on the .lic file. What are the rules pertaining to ecryption and sales outside the US and Canada?

Most encryption is pretty safe to use for export... what do you have in mind? You can email me or PM me if the info is sensitive.

Depends what form of encryption you're using. And depends where you are.

IIRC the only real concerns are if you're in the U.S. and you're exporting the software.

I would hope that using a totally free encryption such as Blowfish would make the matter moot.

Of course, IANAL, so YMMV and all that. :)
