QuickTime?? Project Settings??

Hi.
I was wondering why "Initiatize %QTVersion% is in the project settings? Originally, I mean. Given that AVI is the choice for the builtin video player, why was this particular variable given the attention? I am assuming that a number of AMS users will use this, but can't quite figure out why. Would not a QT video need a player outside of AMS?

What do most users do with this?

That variable is there for those whos products require QuickTime in order to run (such as folks making Director applications). That way they can conditionally show or hide a button that says "Click here to install QuickTime".
