Hi All

I am taking the initiative to start this new thread about suggestions you may have for futur AMS5 plugins. I will start with my own suggestion (dont even know if this will be possible to do :) ).

What about creating an AMS5 client\server plugins that would support the AMS5 runtime over 2 networked PC's. The idea would be that i would build 2 AMS apps, one running on each PC (one being client and one the server) and they would be able to send Variable values back and forth between the 2 PC's. Possibilities would be incredibles.

just my 2 cents...

More details on the client server Plugins....

Actually i said, 2 but i meant multiple networked PC's... The Pluging would create a process on the PC's, that would communicate over a specif tcp port, and would allow exchange of informations bteween the PC's running the AMS **** (such as AMS variables).

does it make any sens?

I think its a cool idea.

I agree the possibilites would be very broad.

- Custom Progress bars
- Windows Default style buttons. Not images, but ones that woule be consistant with the users operating system.

A plug-in which un-burns burnt toast would have been handy about a half hour ago. But seriously I would like to see more programming resources added to offer things like image handling within your apps, i.e. to allow people to "crreate" and save images from within the app. And several other similarly grandiose things.

I guess my point is that the plug-ins which seem most powerful to me are the ones which allow people to add typical *software* features to their project and create/manage application features which only programmers are typically able to add to their stuff.

That being said, I'm pretty impressed with the ones they have coming out now, so I think things are definitely exciting and headed in the correct direction...
