I have several jpg images that load in a photo album page, and each page takes 10-15 seconds to load after the page jump is clicked on.
Currently I am using "Dialog Busy" which works fine, but since my photo pages take 10-15 seconds to load, a please wait may seem like a computer lockup instead of a page load (like a web site, if web page is not loaded in 2 to 3 seconds, most people have lost interest, gone somewhere else, kids these days). Is there any way to place some kind of a loading progress bar, stop watch, etc. to show the user that something is happening? This bar does not even have to have anything really to do with the amount of time left to load a page, just something that moves, and I can hide, or turn to false when the photo pages is loaded and displayed.
I have never used flash (Old School still use notepad) so I would need something us old timers can figure out.
Hey speaking of flash, and since you all seem real helpful, is MX easy to learn, meaning does it have good tutorials, or should I enroll into a local class. I still write a site using HTML, and JAVA, but the things I see you guys do in flash kind of makes me think that its time to go back to school and learn a new trick.
Thanks in advance for your replies to my question. I really appreciate the help you guys have given me by reading the responses you have given to other people posts.
