Hi Sully. I'm compressing the videos today/tomorrow. Jewel case is done, CD graphics is done. So as soon as I get the compression done I'll Fedex it to head office ASAP. I'm testing a few settings shouldn't take long. Definitely within this week. I know I keep saying that but this time's for sure, I had hoped to be done for last week actually. Getting this first one done was a real task but in the future, adding additional CDs will be a breeze.

These Training CDs are going to be great for me. I'm an AMS rookie and a slow learner to boot.

I guarantee this will be the way for you Sully. I really covered all the bases on getting started, that was really important. Yet the CD introduces you to some really superior concepts that many advanced users miss out on it seems. It's perfect for you. :) A solid grasp of the basics, without any missing pockets, is what make power users what they are.

I'll make sure to post here with some free samples this week. I promise. Here's the definitive 100% iron clad guarantee from me to you, even with Murphy's law and pixie bombardment factored in, "The CD will be done within a week and samples will be online in a few days." Hopefully sooner but I just got swamped with a huge batch of graphics so not today. :)

I can't wait! How long until the CD will be ready to ship after you get it to the head office? And since were talking CDs here, when will the Bonus CD ship? Maybe together and save on shipping cost. Can you work that one out Corey?

Well let me just say this, if *I* were the one doing the shipping, billing, and organizing things at the office instead of the person who is, you'd probably get your CD around May or so, not intentionally or anything, but I'm an artist and as such it is my sworn duty AND responsibilty to be disorganized, at least to some extent, on an ongoing basis.

That being said, these people are fast and very efficient. What is best will be done you can bet on that and as for the shipping date I don't think there's any delay at all since we have a high-end professional CD Printer in-house for short runs but I can't guarantee that because the office is busy and I'm not sure how fast they can turn around an order for a training CD. Probably pretty quick though. Fact is that the CD is done I just have to compress the files and finish the menu so I think we're almost there, orders will probably ship by next week or so.

Also I'll be getting a couple more AMS 5.0 CD training titles out by new years hopefully. Not just AutoPlay Media Studio training but also related training so you can really turbocharge your projects. There's so many links in the chain, as each one gets stronger, your designs leap into new levels of quality and impact. For example one such CD which I can guarantee will be coming out at some point which is aimed at AutoPlay users is, "Secrets of Photoshop Interface Design" which occurs in Photoshop.

Take a look for example at the Music Player template built into AMS 5.0. I built that from no-concept to finished graphic in an afternoon for the most part. So that CD will teach you how to do that, and it's a lot easier than you might think. :) It comes with ready-to-use actions which will make any shape (or text) instantly into a variety high end of glass, chrome, and plastic styles with a single slick. Source files and much more. The overarching goal being so that you can create maxximum impact projects in AMS. Not just interface design stuff either, GUI design principles, Flash and AMS 5.0 integration, and much more... At the end of the day that's my core skill, multimedia design and teaching multimedia design so I figure that's what I'll cover.

Brett will be covering a bunch more of the programming aspects too at his site at http://www.icynorth.com so there will be that avenue also for anyone who wants to go the development route instead of the design route. The sky's the limit there, that site's really going to expand this year. All in all it's going to be an awesome winter for everyone. Anyhow don't let me get going on this, back to work...
