I tried submitting a support form on the web site, but it continually refused to accept it, saying I had not filled in all fields (every field was filled in, even the FAX field!). Using Mozilla 1.5.

Anyway, this is the content of my help message:

Due to directory structure changing for a fairly large project, all of the directories specified in my .sf6 file no longer exist.

I've attempted to open the .sf6 file in a text editor, then simply Find/Replace, but the file becomes unusable after the operation (I made a backup prior).

Is there a way to change the source directories for all files that have been added to a project? There are many, many files that are a part of this install.

Thanks for any help!

What you can do is use the multiple file properties dialog to modify the source paths for multipe files at once. You can use the standard Windows Ctrl Click to select single files and Shift click to select all of the files in between another highlighted file. Then right click and select "File Properties" and modify the source.

If platform portability is going to be an issue in this project or other projects in the future, you may want to setup your source paths with Design Time Contants. That way you can define a constant to use in your paths and if that needs to change in the future, it will only mean changing its value in one location. You can find the Design Time Constants if you go to Project->Settings and click the "Design-time Constants" tab. It takes a little time to setup at first, however may save you time later on.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info, it made life a LOT easier!

And thanks for the tip, I'll make sure that I use Design Time Constants to specify base directories.

As for the submission difficulties, one of our guys tested the submission with version 1.6a of Mozilla he had and there didn't seem to be any problem.

If possible, could you give it a try one more time. The problem could be due to the selections in the drop downs. Did you select something in all of the dropdowns?

If you do have any problems in the future, you can just email support@indigorose.com directly, but also be sure to include all of the information requested on the submission page. This information helps speed up the support process.
