I've been busy wrapping up a new version of my software using AMS 4.0.0.4 and haven't had time to explore the Beta of 5.0. I dl'd the latest beta build today. When I try to build a project using one of the AMS 5.0 templates, as is.. nothing added, I get an error of "General extraction error. Location IMP 1. I'm using Win XP pro, 1 gb RAM, 11 gb free disk space. I did a general search of the forums and got one thread from the 4.0 forum but it didn't have any hints as to cause or resolution.
Any ideas? Thanks.

P.S. Just tried a page preview rather than a build and got the same error message

Just curious. Did you have an old 5.0 beta copy installed, and if so did you uninstall before installing the latest beta? If not that might help, uninstall and re-install from scratch...

Just a preliminary thought...

I did have a previous build but I uninstalled it prior to today's d/l and install (re-install)

OK. Then that's not it. Hmm. This is a good one for Brett to field since he knows much more than me about this, he'll be in bright and early tomorrow...

I would like to try to replicate it, which template exactly were you using?

It was the Training Module template. I'm quite sure that it is something local on my main development machine. I'm writing this from a different office and the Beta cooperates fine here, including the Training Module when doing a page preview and buid.

I just tried Desmond's logodemo.exe and received the same General Extraction error. I then copied it over to my wife's Win XP Home computer and it ran fine. There is something residing on my local machine that is causing the General Extraction Error. I'll be happy to provide any info I can to AMS for troubleshooting. If you'd prefer to do it off-list that would be fine also.
