You can change the Output file segment size on the Project Settings dialog (Project | Settings).

There are two default CD-ROM sizes available to you, "74 Minute CD-ROM (650 MB)" and "80 Minute CD-ROM (703 MB)", although you can set the size to be anything using the "Custom" option.

So if you were creating an installation for 650 MB CD-ROMs, and your installation was 850 MB, you would select the "74 Minute CD-ROM (650 MB)" option. This would build your installation into two segments, a Setup.exe that is 650 MB and a setup.2 that is 200 MB in size. You would then burn Setup.exe onto your first CD-ROM, and setup.2 onto your second CD-ROM.

MORE INFORMATION

For more information please see the following topics in the Setup Factory 6.0 Help:

Command Reference | Screens | Screens Index

Command Reference | Design Environment | Dialogs | Screens | Screens dialog

KEYWORDS: Setup Factory 6.0, Multiple CD-ROMS, Span

Last reviewed: February 20, 2003
