I am using Setup Factory 5.0 to put together a Director CD. I went through the steps with the wizard. All is fine until I run the "setup.exe" file. 1/4 way through I get a CRC error; something about a "failed decompression".

The strange thing is, I did it last week using the same setting, and it all worked fine (except for a few typos that I needed to get rid of http://www.indigorose.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif ).

I even tried another CD to see if this was the problem, but I got the same result.

Any help is appreciated.

There is probably a problem with one of your files being corrupted or the media itself is corrupted. Have you tried building the setup again? Have you tried bruning a new CD? Does this happen on all systems? Please email support@indigorose.com with the above and we get things worked out for you.

I once had the same error; the fault was created as follows:
1. Setup Factory looks for some files I want to put on the cd in directory X;
2. I made a directory structure to put on the cd with the necessary files; BUT because I worked again with some files in directory X, the file size and CRC were different from the files I included for the cd. The files themselves were OK, so now I disable CRC check!

Ahhh, I didn't think of that. Thanks a lot for the info Erwin... I will disable the CRC check the next time I do a burn.

Take care.
