Current version of installed programs

Hi,

How can I determine whether or not the user has at least version x of a program? for example, at least IE4.0

There isn't really a universal answer to this question. It can sometimes be done by checking Registry entries, if the application makes one, or by the file version of a specific file that always has the same file name and is included in each version. These are just examples.
