View Full Version : Memory Resources reduced to 0 when installing
Hi,
Approximately what size is your installation in total?
Did this installation work in 6.0.0.2? Have you made any changes to it since updating?
Where are you installing the ZIP files? Are they primer files?

Hi,
I have had this problem reported, i.e. out of memory when installing on W98. This seems to have happened since the 6.0.3 update
Help!!

It's a bug -- and a rather sneaky little critter, in fact. Only happens in Windows 98, and yes, it is specific to a change made in version 6.0.0.3.
We already have a fix undergoing testing. With luck we'll have a new version packaged up and on the site by the end of the day tomorrow.

Setup Factory 6.0.0.3 - Downloaded the update on Monday before making a new CD installation. The installation is extracting files from 52 zip files. It is reducing the Memory Resources on the system to crash the system after about 21 zip files have been processed. After each zip is extracted the zip is deleted. When my system crashed, I had processed only 21 of the zip files.
Is there a command I insert to keep the memory resources from crashing like this? In the prior Setup Factory version, it did not cause this extreme behavior. The installation would complete just fine.
Thank you for help on this.
Hi,
Everyone can get the update to version 6.0.0.4 now (Help -> Check For Update).
Sorry for any inconvenience this issue might have caused.
