I am evaluating Setup Factory 6.0 for the installation of a VB6 application.
When I am trying to use the Build feature I keep getting this error message:-
"One or more of the Archive files could not be found.
The missing files are colored red. To resolve this
problem either remove the file(s) from the project or
set their source directories correctly."
There are no files showing in red - What is this all about???
Hi,
Are you using any of the Runtime Support Modules? Look under Design -> Runtime Support; are any of the modules Selected?
Chances are you are using a Runtime Support Module that you have not configured yet.

I have configured the Runtime Support modules and have selected MDAC 2.6 SP1, MS Jet 4.0 SP3 and Visual Basic 6.0 (SP5)
Hi,
Have you downloaded the correct files and saved them in the correct locations on your hard drive?
This is from the JET Runtime Support Help:
************************
In order to properly configure the Setup Factory 6.0 JET 4.0 SP3 runtime support module you must download three files: Jet40Sp3_Comp.exe, MDAC_TYP.EXE (v2.61.7326.6), and DCOM95.EXE (v1.3)
Jet40Sp3_Comp.exe can be downloaded from: http://www.microsoft.com/data/download_Jet4SP3.htm
MDAC_TYP.EXE can be downloaded from: http://www.microsoft.com/data/download.htm
DCOM95.EXE can be downloaded from: http://www.microsoft.com/com/dcom/dcom95/download.asp
Jet40Sp3_Comp.exe must be saved in the following directory:
...\Setup Factory 6.0\Runtimes\JET40SP3\Jet40Sp3_Comp.exe
MDAC_TYP.EXE must be saved in the following directory:
...\Setup Factory 6.0\Runtimes\MDAC26\MDAC_TYPE.EXE
DCOM95.EXE must be saved in the following directory:
...\Setup Factory 6.0\Runtimes\DCOM95\DCOM95.EXE
If those three files are not located in their proper directories, or if they are incorrect versions, the Setup Factory 6.0 JET 4.0 SP3 runtime support module will not work properly and/or your build will fail.
************************
Have you done this?
Also note that if you are including JET Runtime Support you do not need to include MDAC Runtime Support because it is included in the JET Runtime Support.
mark.
