<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>HOWTO: Open a Version 3.0 Project in Version 4.0</TITLE></HEAD><BODY><h3>HOWTO: Open a Version 3.0 Project in Version 4.0</h3><b>Document ID: IR04045</b><hr>The information in this article applies to:<ul><li>AutoPlay Media Studio 4.0</li></ul><hr><h3>SUMMARY</h3><p>This article will explain how to import a project file that was created with AutoPlay Menu Studio 3.0 into AutoPlay Media Studio 4.0, converting the version 3.0 project into a new version 4.0 project.</p><h3>DISCUSSION</h3><p>To import an AutoPlay Menu Studio 3.0 project and convert it into a new AutoPlay Media Studio 4.0 project:</p><ol><li>Start AutoPlay Media Studio 4.0.</li><li>On the <i>Start Project</i> dialog, either create a new blank project, or open an existing 4.0 project.</li><li>Select <b>Import v3.0 Project</b> from the <b>File</b> menu.</li><li>Enter the full path and filename of the version 3.0 project (.am3) file that you want to import. (You can also press the <b>Locate project file</b> button to browse your system for the .am3 file.)</li><li>Provide a name for the new version 4.0 project.
