What do you mean by a transparent button? You can create buttons with the button maker in AMS under tools. If you use a png image you can set the transparency for whatever you want on any part of the image. If you need an advanced editor to help you create your image files I would suggest GIMP (www.gimp.org) if you do not have photoshop. Is that what you were asking?

you might want to try VistaButtons (http://vista-buttons.com/). I find it very useful for making AMS buttons. You just export the GIFs from VistaButtons, convert them to PNG, and then import them into AMS ButtonMaker.

Buttons are not hard to make from PNG files. Check this site out for free icons and PNG files. http://www.veryicon.com/icons/media/

I use cs4 to doctor up my graphics before using AMS button editor.
