Hi,
Is there any way I can get TrueUpdate to turn off the "Write Filter" of the machine?
Thanks a lot.

Hm... I couldn't understand what you mean. Could you rephrase your question, perhaps show an example?

Sorry about the confusion.
What I meant was, instead of having the user manually disable the write filter (as described in the following link), can I get True Update to do that automatically (say before doing an install)?

Thank you.

The key here is "After the device restarts" that means you need to restart the device. so you're installer would need to start the install, set it to not use the filter, resetart the device & continue.
I haven't done anything with windows embedded so I have no clue how easy that would be.

Thanks jassing. Yes I understand that I need to reboot the system, which can be done by System.Reboot() in TrueUpdate. I was just wondering if there's any plug in or tools in TrueUpdate that could enable/disable the Write Filter as well. But maybe this functionality is too specific and is not required by most users.
Cheers.
