option to seperate patch data.

based on a discussion (http://www.indigorose.com/forums/showpost.php?p=146129&postcount=9) about file size, I can see value in having an option to leave the data file (patch info) seperate from the more static runtime. (I know it's possible, as TrueUpdate leaves it seperate)
