View Full Version : AutoPlay Screenshot Challenge

Mark
10-23-2009, 12:40 PM
The Story:

We're updating our website and noticed that our AutoPlay screenshots are in desperate need of an update. (Example: http://www.indigorose.com/content/ams-screenshot-default-view.jpg )

The Contest:

We're looking for some talented AutoPlay designers to show us the sexiest projects they've created. We are looking for two types of screenshots:

Projects loaded in AutoPlay's design environment
Projects running.

The sky's the limit for what you want to show in your project, but please keep in mind that winning screenshots will appear on www.indigorose.com for all to see, so it's probably not a good idea to post any industry secrets.

How to Enter:

Reply to this thread with your screen shots.

The Rules:

Enter as often as you'd like but please one post per entry.
Any screen shot that you enter may be used on our site, so only post something you don't mind the world seeing.

Good luck!

mark.

Do you have a prefered picture format?

Hi Derek,

PNG is the preferred format, but any format is alright as long as the quality is high!

Hi,

Very Simple Business Presentation Design as required by a company in Saudi Arabia.

Advantages of this method:
1. No need to load bulky MS Powerpoint on PC
2. Maintains train of thoughts ( continuity ) for presenter & audience
3. Easier for presenter to explain
4. Easier for audience to digest ideas
5. Uses only 4 pages in AMS, which otherwise needs 30 pages in MS Powerpoint
6. KISS Concept ( Keep It Simple & Sharp ).

Hi,

This is a prototype Interactive Learning Module I did for a company in Malaysia.

It is a Science Module for Primary School Children which must follow the Government Curriculum.

With AMS, I'm able to include the following elements:
1. Graphics & Images
2. Voice-Over Instructions
3. Sound Effects
4. Music background
5. Lots of video & flash
6. Interactive Quizzes
7. Lots of content pages

The best thing about this prototype project was, I made it in 2 days flat. AMS really cuts down development time.

Hi,

This is a Product Presentation required by a Korean company.

The design and navigation is very simple. Lots of richtext and few images per page. However, on 1 of the pages, it requires a SlideShow of 16 photos for a specific purpose. Very quick and easy to do on AMS.

Hi,

This is a learning aid for children with problems in Malaysia. It uses VISUAL & MUSIC as the key to literacy.

There are about 100,000 school children who are facing problems reading and writing in Malaysia. Eventhough the percentage is very low, one company has decided to help them with this module.

From scores of 3-day literacy camps held, 90% of the participants were able to read and write. Overjoyed parents were crying with tears of joy to see their children finally able to read.

This is my favorite project as it is the first one I did using AMS 5 Professional. I was really amazed on how easy it is to compile and bind hundreds of flash objects together using AMS.

Hi,

This is another module I created for a Malaysian company. It is a storybook, story telling using animation and music. Children will then try to sing along using a karaoke style screen. There are 10 musical stories altogether divided in 2 CDs.

I used AMS 6 and updated it with 7.

Hi,

This is a Trainer Desktop ( dashboard ? ). I made it for an NGO doing training in Pakistan.

The NGO wants an optimum level of productivity for it's trainers when giving training programs. They don't want time wasted looking for all sorts of digital files hidden in a mountain of digital folders. And mainly, they don't want their trainers to mess up the files. :lol

They want easy and quick access to relevant files such as software, presentation files, music files, sound files, schedule, references, summaries, manuals, diary, registration forms and communication apps on ONE PLATE. They want them clustered nicely and not cluttered.

Bottom line, they want to look professional in front of each batch of trainees ( psychiatrists and psychologists ). And they want reports quickly after that. ....... so many wants ... :huh

With the help of AMS, they got it in 5 days. :D

Hi! This is by far THE sexiest & 'best' app I have ever made with AMS, its my Backup & Restore app that works quite well, apart from using 100% CPU.

First Image: design Screenie
Second image: backup part running
Third Image: screenie of the Options page
Last Image: screenie of the restore part running

I hope you will like my contribution :)

Here's one I did a few years ago on AMS4 (shown is the conversion to AMS6 - Cookin' with Mama recipe CD.
It contains over 1000 recipes and the latest version has full maintenance capabilities for adding, deleting and modifying recipes. There's a small slide-show on the index page (did not have a photgraph of every recipe; although that was the original plan.)

This is my longest running project to date ... been working on it for longer than I want to remember. And it 's still not finished, lol. :rolleyes
It's a multimedia-unit for use by teachers of Junior High School students studying the S.E.Hinton novel, The Outsiders (now a modern classic and studied in high-schools all over the world).

This is the paperback (some of you may recognise it):

http://lolfwd.com/?tI http://lolfwd.com/?Fb

... and for those who don't, you might be more familiar with the 1983 film-adaptation by Francis Ford Coppola:

http://lolfwd.com/?Xs

Anyway, my project takes a digital slant on teaching this novel to kids. Its basic purpose is to get kids engaged in the learning-process with something that's much more interactive than traditional teaching methods. It's not finished yet but the aim is to produce a package that fully caters for both the needs of the teacher using it, and for the kids studying it.

These are the features that are included in the product:

- teacher's info-file (including complete lesson-plans)
- eBook (PDF) version of the novel
- official movie trailer
- novel introduction + background study
- themes study (Powerpoint presentation)
- character-profile blackline-masters of the novel's main characters (ready-to-print PDF format)
- photo-music slideshow based on novel to investigate its themes
- interactive quizzes & multimedia activities to revise student-learning
- flash puzzles & learning-games to enhance understanding of novel's elements
- a student blog facility for peer discussion of novel
- web portal and encrypted-folder for storage of student work
- upload-link with secure depository for submission of student assessment
- teacher's digital assessment tools
- complete compiled Help manual (.chm) for both students & teachers

Hopefully, there'll be even more features ... but I'm in over my head already (lol ) ... so am just taking it as it comes. So far, I've trialled bits & pieces of it with my own students, and the response has been positive and rewarding. It'll be a nice feeling when it's finished. Here's a screenshot of the product in its current state of development:

http://lolfwd.com/?ae

NB.
The charcoal template is largely based on one posted on the forum, but I can't remember whose it is ... so credit for that design goes to whoever.
Looks a bit like it might be one of jack daniels designs, but the original .btn files bear the signature of ZG ... not sure who that is, but credit to him/her if that's the case. :D

Something small i am working on, Windows Source Manager

http://i.imagehost.org/0257/WSM.png (http://i.imagehost.org/view/0257/WSM)

The options will be add source remove source and when clicked catalog and
it will list all source in that catalog and you are able to pick one then select a
program to download.

This is little like the linux source manager.

And here is how the application looks during runtime:

You can download this from the Addon and Plugin Directory (http://www.autoplaymediastudio.com/examples/).

As you can see it's not finished yet, but all of the icons run a portable app direct from the DVD, which sits on top of a Windows XP Preinstalled Environment which runs totally live and on the net ;)

I love Indigo Rose. If anyone wants this example to modify it or run it for themselves you can have it for free.
Just contact me :)
