I am in the process of testing Media Studio 7.5 to insure it does everything I need and I have run in to a small problem. I cannot get my .swf file to play.

I tried to add it via the new flash object button - that didn't work.

I tried to drag and drop it on to the work surface as suggested in the help section of the program - that didn't work.

I checked these forums and couldn't find anything.

I even went to the web site and watched the tutorial video's but those are for version 5 and I'm testing 7.5.

What I get is nothing. The area for the video is there and when I right click on it I get the window offering Flash player info so I know it recognizes it as Flash but no video.

Additional I can play the .swf file independently through my resident flash player so I know the file is good.

Any advice on what to do or what I may not be doing?

Please paste your exported project file (File > Export) and the Flash file (should it not be in the *.apz archive) so we can have a look at the issue. The tutorials for Flash in AutoPlay Media Studio 5.0 still apply to the current version, everything that worked then still should work now.

I have had to move on without it at the moment. Once I get back to it I will do as you suggested.

Thanks for your time.

Just for the record, I use flash objects in virtually every project that I make and I have never had a problem incorporating a working swf. I do always set the project dependencies but to be honest I don't know of any occasion when that has actually 'triggered'.
