I just did a test where I loaded, played stopped and paused an audio track using CHANNEL_USER6. I just made that up...can we create any audio channel we want? If so, how to do we get them to show up in auto complete?

I am just off on my clarity lately. What I meant was, I made up that audio channel...and it worked...

So is it true mark? Are there any many audio channels as I can make up?

in my test, it seems that you can have 1 extra audio channel, but the on audio events do not respond to it, a bug or a feature?

im pretty sure that all of those variables in the drop down list are simply representing numbers, i think it would be possible to just type in a number and create an audio channel for it (i think, havent tried it as my comp with ams is broken)

the point is, there are 7 asigned audio channels (0 to 6), if 7 is passed as a audio channel the sound plays but with no audio callbacks (On Audio), 7 of course being the 8th channel, so, like i say, a bug or a feature ?

AMS probably directly sends those numbers to DirectSound, or the 8th channel may be a debug one. However, an infinite number is impossible without a custom sound mixer, as DirectSound has a limited number of streams that may be mixed at a given time. This might be solved with the new audio stack on Vista, though; I don't know.
